          Born on December 29, 1942, in Burwala (now in Pakistan), Rajesh Khanna was the adopted son of Chunnilal Khanna and Lilavati.

          He attended St. Sebastian's Goan High School in Mumbai, where he became close friends with Ravi Kapoor (later known as Jeetendra).
